About the Course:
This 8 week course has been designed to assist you with your basic English skills. It involves pronunciation, grammar, listening and comprehension as well as ‘Aussie’ accent training. This is combined with quality teaching staff in a fun and friendly environment. The course is unique in that it offers students the opportunity to:

Certificate upon satisfactory completion of the course. Individual improvement measured by pre and post course test. Students will leave the course with a far greater level of confidence in their own ability to use the English language effectively for specific purposes.
The content of this course is vast and varied. It will cover areas such as:

About the Course:
The IELTS stands for the International English Language Testing System. The IELTS test is recognised around the world and is accepted by more than 9,000 organisations such as schools, universities, employers and immigration authorities. There are four specific components of the IELTS test: Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening. The speaking component is assessed in a one on one situation with a real person. There are 2 streams of the IELTS test. There is a choice of the General or Academic test. Our course provides specific instruction for both tests and works toward increasing every student’s score.
Who should attend:
Anyone who would like to improve their English speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. It would help with writing papers for University, filling out medical and insurance forms, applying for jobs and gaining confidence with all types of communication.
Students will increase their band score across all four areas of reading, writing, speaking and listening. Students will gain confidence in natural conversation, reading for specific purposes and writing for particular audiences.
The content will cover the 4 main areas of Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening. The content will be divided into tasks for the IELTS Academic test and tasks for the IELTS General Training test. Content will include: pronunciation, grammar, comprehension, conversational speech, listening skills, free speech, reading and comprehension, spelling and word study along with a variety of written tasks.

About the course:
This 2 day workshop has been developed by highly experienced industry practitioners who have had over 70 + years of experience in various aspects of the employment and recruit process both as an employer (in Government, large corporates and small business), selection panel member and as applicants for jobs.
The course approaches the job search and employment in a practical manner. It’s outcome driven. It’s designed to empower you with all the tools, skills and knowledge required to embark on a successful job search.
There are two streams to ensure that you get the right attention to detail that is required for your own need:
• Australian residents who are proficient in English
• International Students and Migrants (with basic English skills)
Who should attend?
Students (including international students), new migrants and the unemployed who are keen on building the confidence, personal strategies, skills and tools required for a successful job search
Students will learn how to be equipped with all the tools (resume, cover letter) skills (interview and presentation) and knowledge (conducting prior research) required for a job search. It will help students focus on practical tips and suggestions that will help them stand out among other applicants.
The course content will teach you to use resources to identifying the jobs you are interested in (part time or full time) based on your skills, education, knowledge and experience. You will gain a deep understanding of the recruitment process and what employers look for in applicants.
By the end of the course you will learn how to write a powerful resume and cover letter and customise them for the job you are applying for based on the job advertisement or description. You will also learn Interview skills and behaviours to maximise your chances for selection.
